Dear Band Students and Parents:
In this time of uncertainty music is steadfast. It is an expression of our feelings, provides a release of emotion, feeds your inner being, among other things. My words to all band students are KEEP PLAYING!!! Play songs you like, try more difficult songs, have a FaceTime practice session with your friends! Be creative! In the upcoming days there will be information pertaining to instruction including SMARTMUSIC. SMARTMUSIC is an interactive accompaniment program students use to play along with songs in the Accent on Achievement method book. Band students have utilized this program in lessons and provides many variations for learning. Additionally, there are many topics and websites you can check out for enrichment.
Check back frequently as things are continuing to fall into place. And as I said, KEEP PLAYING!!!
