General Music Classes

Mrs. Rispoli's music classes meet in the Resica Elementary music room. Kindergarten through fifth grade students meet twice for music class every six days for 35 minutes each session. The music curriculum is based on the National Music Standards which can be viewed by clicking on the link below. While participating in music class, students will be singing, dancing, playing simple instruments, creating original compositions and listening to music. As music is an interactive class (even listening), students' grades will primarily be based on their classroom participation in our daily songs, dances and playing examples. (Please click on "music grades" below to see about specific music grading policy.)

Resica Elementary Chorus

  • The Resica Elementary Chorus is an after school music program open by audition to all fourth and fifth grade students. The Chorus performs two concerts per year - in December and May - as part of the district's vocal music curriculum. All rehearsals take place on Mondays from 3:30 - 4:30 in the music room. Students will be able to ride the activity bus or have their parents pick them up. All participating students must have a parental permission slip to stay after school for chorus.
