The purpose of Biology I is to give you a better understanding of the world around you as well as prepare you for other science courses that you must take.  Major topics include:  biochemistry, cell organelles, cell function, cell respiration, photosynthesis, mitosis, meiosis, and genetics. big grin

Biology II allows you to further explore the world around you. This course covers topics such as the theory of evolution, bacteria and viruses, and classification. It also covers the study of protists, fungi, animals, and plants. Dissections of various animals also take place throughout the course.

The purpose of General Science is to give you a better understanding of the world around you as to prepare you for other science courses. Major topics include: the scientific method, the metric system, atomic structure, gas laws, periodic table of elements, motion, forces, acceleration, simple machines, and energy.
