Generalization

A statement about SEVERAL people (not just one) that tells what they have in common. If it's based on facts, it is called VALID. If it's not, it's called FAULTY.

Example: Most 5th Grade students wear jeans to school. (Valid - you can see what they wear).

Example: Many parents are strict with their children. (Fault - it's based on an opinion, can't be measured.)
