Ask a Dead Explorer
In class, our students completed research about famous European explorers as part of our social studies curriculum. Each student pair investigated a different explorer. This year, we decided to have students present their reports as "interviews" with famous dead explorers. We hope you enjoy the show. The volume is a little low, so crank up those speakers!

File Cabinet
Here, you will find pdf versions of assignments that I am posting for student and parent reference. Some of these are resource sheets such as the Excellent Editing handout, and others are specific assignment sheets or project sheets that I have created for the class. I would ask that these pages be used by students and parents of my class only. I have developed many of these pages myself, and therefore consider them my property. Some are the work of others and the files listed here are licensed as items that can be "copied" or distributed for educational purposes. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding! I hope you find this archive of files helpful! -
Planet Podcasts
The files below are the podcasts our class created to share what they have learned about the planets during our solar system unit. Students researched their planet using two different books, and a website film to gather all the information they needed. Next, they used their language arts skills to write a script as if they were interviewing a person who was broadcasting a live report from the planet! The podcasts were great fun, and we are thrilled to have the chance to share them with you! Click on the links below to hear each podcast.
